Welcome to the Mohave County ATHS. We're just getting our wheels turning in beautiful Lake Havasu City, building a local community that celebrates the legacy, people, and machines that have kept America moving from Arizona to California.
The Mohave County ATHS is a fast-growing local chapter dedicated to preserving and celebrating the rich history of trucking, heavy equipment, and the trades that keep our world moving.
Established less than two years ago right here in Lake Havasu City, Arizona, also serving members from California, our chapter was founded by passionate industry professional Douglas Main that has pulled together operators, and enthusiasts who saw the need to bring this legacy to life in our own community. We are proud to be part of the larger American Truck Historical Society network, which has been honoring trucking heritage across the U.S. since 1971.
Whether it’s classic rigs or modern machines, our mission is to engage all generations—especially youth and families—through hands-on events, educational outreach, and equipment showcases. Our signature annual event, The Real Sandbox Show, invites the public to climb into the cab, meet real operators, and experience the trades in a way they never have before.
From lowbeds and loaders to cranes, welders, and community builders—we are a chapter powered by people, driven by history, and focused on the future.
